In 2007, poet Sharon Bridgforth and I collaborated to bring her novel love conjure/blues to life onstage. Part book reading, part film, and part performance art, the love conjure/blues text installation is a ritual of memory, raising a black, queer, southern experience of trauma and healing, joy and love.
